Monique White

Monique White is the Head of AI and Information Extraction for Bloomberg News. She oversees a project management team and two AI engineering teams (natural language processing and table understanding)) that specialize in detecting key events that move markets using low-latency, high-precision machine learning models.  The team’s responsibility is to process a large universe of unstructured information sources across all geographies, extract data and write automated headlines and stories to break news first.

Monique joined Bloomberg in 2010 in the Strategic Planning group for Financial Products. She was then tasked with creating and leading the access control team in the Risk Office in 2013, and assumed her latest role in the newsroom in the summer of 2015. Previously Monique was an Engagement Manager at Opera Solutions, a New York base management consulting firm specialized in Big Data analytics and operational efficiency.

Monique holds a Master in Business Administration for the ESSEC School of Business, France. She won the 2016 LinkedIn Next Wave award in the Media category, promoting the top 10 professionals 35 and under who are influencing their industry.

Born in Denmark, raised in France and Switzerland, Monique and her family live in Westport, Connecticut.
