European Data Journalism Network
Marzia Bona is an editor and researcher at Osservatorio Balcani Caucaso Transeuropa (OBCT), a non-profit media focusing on South Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, and Turkey, based in Trento (Italy). She is part of the editorial team running the European Data Journalism Network (EDJNet), an independent and multi-language platform for data-driven news on European affairs. She is involved in coordinating EDJNet’s broad and multi-disciplinary network of media partners from across Europe, which includes (data-) journalists, developers, and experts in European affairs. They all collaborate to produce content, develop tools for journalists, and to stimulate a data-driven coverage of European issues.
Every year, new trends emerge for the thousands of data journalists working all over the world. In this session we want to highlight some of the most important ones, as well as touch base on topics such as monetisation, engagement and personalisation of data projects in news teams worldwide.
