Kinsey Wilson


Kinsey Wilson is one of the leading digital news executives around the globe. He has held senior positions at The New York Times, NPR and USA TODAY and played a key role in the digital transformation of their businesses. He joined Automattic Inc. as President of WordPress.com in March 2018. In addition to overseeing the company’s flagship commercial product, which powers millions of web sites, he recently announced the launch of Newspack, a grant-funded initiative to develop a common, cost effective technology platform for small- and medium-sized digital news organizations.

Wilson is also a visiting fellow at the Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy at Harvard University, a trustee of the Poynter Institute, a member of the board of visitors for the Knight Journalism Fellowship at Stanford University and a member of the advisory board of The Telegraph in London. He was an early leader of the Online News Association and president of the organization in 2007. He has served as a juror for the Pulitzer Prizes in journalism.
