Julia Cagé

Julia Cagé is a French economist specialising in development economics, political economy, and economic history. She is also an assistant economics professor at Sciences Po Paris and a board member at Agence France Presse, the world’s third largest international news agency. She co-founded the left-oriented think-tank Cartes sur Table in 2008. Julia is also the author of ‘Saving the media: Capitalism, Crowdfunding and Democracy’, which has been published in 10 languages and won the ‘Prix special du Jury’ of the 2016 edition of the ‘Prix des Assises du Journalisme’. Her newest book, co-authored with Nicolas Hervé, ‘L’Information à tout prix’, was published in France in March 2017.
