Co-President Stavros Niarchos Foundation
Andreas Dracopoulos is Co-President of the Stavros Niarchos Foundation (SNF). SNF was established in 1996 at the passing of his great uncle, Stavros Niarchos, and has since made more than 4,400 grants to nonprofit organizations around the world, including a number of initiatives supporting the practice of journalism. Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Andreas received a degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania. He is a Trustee of The Rockefeller University, Johns Hopkins University, and the Center for Strategic and International Studies, where his personal support established the Dracopoulos iDeas Lab. He has been awarded Greece’s Grand Cross of the Order of Honour and the rank of Officer of the Legion of Honor by the Republic of France, among other state distinctions. He lives in New York City.
