Alexis Papahelas

Alexis Papahelas was born in Athens in 1961.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in History and Economics from Bard College and a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University. Papahelas has interviewed many important global personalities from Presidents Obama, Clinton, Assad, to Bill Gates and others. He has also been a host of the TV current affairs shows “Fakeloi” and “Istories” and was named among the most influential Europeans for 2015 by Politico.

Papahelas is currently the Executive Editor of Kathimerini newspaper.
